Category:Social sciences Category:Statistical analysisThe art of mapping the response of an optical sensor to the radiation incident thereon, is known. Most optical sensors are binary sensors: they are either illuminated or not illuminated and as a result measure the light or the lack of light and indicate a measurement condition for the optical sensor (more generally, for an optoelectronic sensor). The present invention relates to optical sensors that are illuminated, and the present invention is more particularly concerned with optical sensors that measure the intensity of light received by the sensor, as a function of the intensity of the incident light. This type of sensor is for example described in French patent application No. 02 02393 filed on Mar. 21, 2002 in the name of the Applicant. This document describes an optical sensor in which the incident radiation of a sensor is detected by means of a detector whose output is amplified by a first amplifier and is then processed by an analog-to-digital converter to produce digital data. A digital processor processes this data to produce a digital map of the intensity of the incident radiation received by the sensor as a function of the intensity of the incident radiation. This document, or the principles described therein, may be utilized in many fields of technology, for example for acquiring maps for measuring the sun intensity, as well as in other fields of technological application. The present document also applies to the patent application entitled “Optical system for acquiring solar maps”, filed on Feb. 27, 2002 in the name of the Applicant, this application being incorporated by reference herein in its entirety. Generally, the principles of this invention can be applied to any type of optical sensor that is described in French patent application No. 02 02393, and notably to solar sensors, such as photodiodes, and the control circuits associated therewith. It is also known to construct an optical sensor by integrating various components on a substrate in order to reduce the number of components, as well as to enable a more compact sensor to be formed. However, the manufacture of an optical sensor by integrating various components on a substrate is complicated and expensive. This document describes an optical sensor that does not use an integrated circuit. The optical be359ba680
